Squidward: I thought the most important rule was why do today what you can put off 'till tomorrow? Mr. Krabs: What is today but yesterday's tomorrow? |
There are a few things in this world that bug me. But one of the things that bugs me most is when people wear their Bluetooth (what sort of name is that by the way?!!) headset around like it’s an accessory. Like a piece of jewelry.
Okay, Ohura was probably the original bluetooth wearer but she had to wear it for her job:
So, Ohura, you are fine in my book.
But what about the guy that just walked into the Starbucks (and who is now sitting outside chatting with someone) who has not taken his bluetooth off?!! It’s like an earing, but really ugly and awkward AND it just seems like this guy is waiting for an “important” phone call that is never going to come.
I could be SO WRONG and he could be waiting for his daughter in Indiana to call because she’s about to give birth to twins and he couldn’t make it out there because he has been affected by the economy like most of us and can’t afford a flight. OR, maybe he has lung cancer and is on the list for a new lung (do they even do lungs?) and he’s waiting for the call to see if he gets a new one. (ps. if that’s the case, he really shouldn’t be smoking right now).
OR, maybe he’s an alien and he keeps the bluetooth attached to his ear at all times because it is the only way the mother ship can communicate with him that looks human and normal. I’m just saying.
But I know that there are people out there who wear their bluetooth headset just because they are too darn lazy to take it off their ear or because they want people to think they are always on the phone because they are so popular. To these people I say, “I don’t judge you perpetual bluetooth wearing person but maybe, just maybe, take it off when you are in a conversation with real people.” And when I say “real people” I mean NOT the robots on the other end of the line. We know who you really are.
Always thinking about super important things,
mj
